Users & Carers

NSF (Scotland) Working to improve the well being and quality of life of those affected by schizophrenia and other mental illness, including families and carers.  For details of services in Dumfries and Galloway see www.nsfscot.org.uk and click on site map/in your area.

User & Carer Involvement (U.C.I.): providing support and empowerment to users and their carers to help them get their voice heard.  Are able to help find relevant services to assist with any difficult (e.g. legislation, benefits), (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) 01387 255330.

The Princess Royal Trust Dumfries and Galloway Carers Centre:  providing support for carers.  01387 248600.

Citizens Advice Service:  providing advice on a large number of issues, including housing, benefits. To find your nearest bureau go to www.cas.org.uk .

People’s Advocacy and Support Service (PASS):  providing an advocacy service (helping giving users and carers a voice) within the NHS and local authority.  01387 247237.
